Reader

The reader recognizes the transponder as soon as it comes into the recording range. This is called a "tag-in event." If the transponder moves away from the recording range of the reader again, this is called a "tag-out event."

The information about the direction of the moving transponder is secured by a recording by a second reader. For this reason, two readers are installed at the inputs of the area being monitored at short distances from each other. The mine or construction site is divided into zones that are limited by the readers. In this way, the entering and leaving of the zone can be clearly recorded.

The readers are supplied externally (wide area: 6-30VDC), but can be equipped with a backup battery for safety reasons. Sufficient protection against the raw environmental influences of mining and tunnelling are provided through the design in the housing in IP65 type of protection.
