Transponder (Tag)
According to the object and task, passive or active transponders are used. Active transponders are preferred for the ranges needed in mining and tunnelling since they are better suited for this purpose.
Due to the many areas of application, various transponder models have been developed. Extremely robust transponders have thus been created for attachment to vehicles.
For personal applications, the construction is lightweight and small. Every tag has an exclusive identification number which is assigned to the object being monitored. The transponder sends its information to the readers on UHF band.
Writable transponders also exist. Information can thus be sent to these devices in the field, stored, and transferred to the readers.
